Description: This pattern is a beautiful blend of 2 different styles in designing. Carolyn Mitchell of Carolyn Mitchell Designs in Winnipeg, lent her talents to Jeannette's band sampler style and with a delightful poem, enchants us to stitch this for a friend. It is a mix of Hardanger and Sampler with excellent instructions for both. The top row of hardanger is cut and overlaid and becomes a charming valance giving a 3-D effect. You may also choose to the box with just the verse.
Fabric: 28 count Lambswool Linen
Design Size/Count: 70 x 207; 5 1/8 x 14"
Embellishments: This piece uses The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works floss and The Caron Collection and Gloriana Silk. With additions of Kreinik Metallics, crystals and beads it rounds out the stitching nicely. All specialty stitches have good stitch diagrams and the hardanger is well laid out for beginners. The box for just the poem is from Olde Colonial Designs.
